About STET

What is STET?

STET is the official editing club at BYU. We seek to build a community by providing opportunities to learn outside of classes and connecting students with editing opportunities both on and off campus. In the editing world, “STET” means “keep the original text.” As editors, we must learn the delicate balance between "keeping the original text" and polishing the text to its fullest potential.

What do we do?

In STET, we provide students with peer workshops, industry panels, internship preparation, and editing and publishing related activities. Students sharpen their grammar, style, and editorial judgment while networking with professionals and each other. If you have an interest in editing, writing, fact-checking, or learning something new, we would love to see you at our monthly club meetings!
